Close Up by Martin Schoeller

In Close Up, Martin Schoeller's magnetic, straightforward portraits are pieced together in a rhythmic study of the human face. The world's most famous visages merge with the unknown, in a piece that is tempting to watch again and again. See the project at http://mediastorm.com/publication/close-up

You're the blue ball, now machine!

A GIF animation that tiles up perfectly and a driving you mad music, for yet another You’re the man now, dog! page.

YTMND - Blue Ball Machine (Classic GIF Returned)

Une animation GIF qui crée une parfaite “tapisserie” et une musique qui rend fou, pour une page YTMND de plus…

What can I do to improve Translation quality?

This is either a big fail or a major win…

German to French translation of äääääääääääääää…

Google Translate - German to French translation - äääääääääääääää → pokemon

Thanks Séb for the heads up!

Une pionnière incomprise…

Voilà. Tu peux porter un manteau de vison impunément alors que la race s'éteint, mais en revanche, pas question de porter du chat, alors qu'ils pullulent de façon totalement incontrôlable…

Gaga's cover for Vogue Hommes Japan was taken by photographer Terry Richardson.

En plus elle faisait peut-être ça après qu'il lui ait rayé le capot de sa voiture !

Supported unusual format…

What do you do when you have to deal with a file on your Mac and you never even heard of this kind of file type?

Well… Google. And a few minutes later, you know that, yes, you’ve probably downloaded the file you wanted and that it’s indeed an archive and, more importantly: it’s definitely in a weird format.

Turns out this .alz file is an archive format which is mainly popular in South Korea, as explained in the “supported unusual formats” section of the web page for The Unarchiver… Well, South Korea is really another world.

Thanks to this, the plain icon turned into a very nice one. And… I could open it.

Great utility, versatile and powerful. Simple and effective. And, as far as I know, the only one available right now, capable of decompressing this kind of file. It also runs on windows, but who cares? And Linux, which is more important.

The Unarchiver - Mac OS X

I’ll have to donate something to Dag Ågren. It’s deserved.

And visit his website, the guy made an impressive list of useful and nice softwares, utilities, web applications, games and screen savers… and for technical types, the source code is provided for each project.

Now, to go back to the subject, the archive was 5.3 GB and the uncompressed folder is 5.3 GB. To be more precise, the archive was exactly 5 297 847 479 bytes, while the uncompressed folder is exactly 5 298 986 966 bytes. Only 1 139 487 bytes saved… that is about 1MB saved on a 5.3 GB folder. All this trouble, to save so few?

Anyway, I got the file I wanted.
